Conservation, Conservation, and More Conservation
Preserving the Golfo Dulce-Osa Peninsula Region
We are always reminded of our special location and how lucky we are to have found a pristine spot such as this in a rapidly developing world. Even here, in the immediate area, there are many battles ensuing to preserve the natural habitat and beauty that National Geographic calls, "The most biologically diverse place on Earth." From plans for large scale marinas to tuna farms, to illegal developments in protected rainforest. we are in the fight of our lives to keep this area "as is" - NATURAL, PRISTINE AND WILD.
Nicuesa is fully committed to environmental conservation, and specifically to local and regional conservation efforts around the Osa Peninsula-Golfo Dulce. Through informal conversations, and formal tours such as the Sustainability Tour, Nicuesa has been actively educating guests about our personal environmental endeavors, as well as those of the region. As part of our efforts, we eagerly seek monetary contributions towards the Osa Campaign, a program spearheaded by The Nature Conservancy, Conservation International and Costa Rica-USA. Nicuesa is proud to demonstrate our commitment to the cause by fully matching all guest donations (up to $1000 per individual donation)! This year, to date, we have raised $2800 which, with our match, amounts to $5600 that we will delightedly hand over to The Nature Conservancy / Osa Campaign. Furthermore, we would like to recognize a special guest (who prefers to remain nameless) for their $1000 donation to the Osa Campaign.
Please consider a generous donation to this important cause. Visit www.osacampaign.org for more information and donation process. Be sure to let us know if you made a contribution so that we may match it! Thanks for helping us preserve this beautiful area.
